From The Shard to Starminster: A City in The Sky comes to Life

NewsThe Shard recently welcomed author, Megan Hopkins to celebrate the launch of her second book in the Starminster series. Taking inspiration from The Shard’s impressive height, the book invites readers to explore the magical world set in the ‘city in the sky’.
Megan was inspired to create her book series featuring a magical world called ‘London Overhead’ after visiting The Shard. Just as in real life The Shard plays a pivotal role in her books, acting as a crucial landmark connecting ‘London Overhead’ and ‘London Underfoot’, and serving as the main character, Astrid's, gateway to the sky city.
To further celebrate this connection, The Shard collaborated with publishing house, Harper Collins, launching a social media competition offering readers and followers the chance to truly experience the magic of a City in the sky. The prize included two tickets to The View from The Shard with signed copies of both Starminster books by Megan herself.
